Stress Relief

Get real. It's not possible to live stress free. Gravity is stress. It shapes our human body. It creates the illusion that we are more than a giant water bubble; which is what we might become if not for gravity.

Living on planet earth is stressful. We've all heard about the "good" stressors and the "bad" stressors--both are highly subjective. Yet there are many stressors that define our health. It becomes important to identify what you need to do for yourself to feel nourished and centered.

Often overlooked is our ability to quiet our minds. We wind-up our minds too tightly and our body begins to take the burden. Our organs are powerful and at the same time delicate too. They have a direct relationship with the mind and the nervous system. When our minds are overly agitated, the fight or flight response gets cranked too high for too long. We now know why Stress is the number one killer.

Our general adaptation system needs time to chill, calm down, breathe. Calming the mind is not thinking of nothing. That is kind of stupid, if not impossible. But relaxing, is good for you. There are a gazillion ways to relieve stress. There are a gazillion ways to quiet your mind.

Take it down a notch or two, actively and precisely calm and clear out the noise in your own mind, create your zone, center into your wellspring of living. Physical activity will make it easier to relax and calm down. Don't worry, all your problems will still need solving, and possibly, some of them won't be such a biggie.
